CHATTOOGA ADVENTURES IN THE GEORGIA & SOUTH CAROLINA BLUE RIDGE
Explore the perfect mix of white water rafting, ziplining and other outdoor adventures, matched with unique luxury cabin or group lodging and plenty of connection time with family & friends. We've been helping guests enjoy fantastic adventures on the Georgia and South Carolina border since 1971.
Chattooga Adventures Start in Long Creek SC
The Chattooga River is where it all began for Wildwater. We were the first commercial outfitter to run the river in 1971, and this trip remains “the Number One Thing Every Southerner Ought To Do” according to Southern Living Magazine. But there’s so much more than just rafting available at our Chattooga Adventure Center!
A National Wild and Scenic River since 1974, you’ll experience rafting in a truly natural setting on the undeveloped Chattooga. On all our trips, the river’s deep gorge rises above you, remote and beautiful. Whether you choose the family-friendly Mini Trip & Section 3, or take on Section 4, probably the most famous stretch of white water in the Southeast, the Chattooga river provides an unparalleled river experience. Or if you prefer quieter water sports, explore the beautiful Lake Tugaloo in a touring kayak or SUP.
After experiencing the Chattooga from the river, you’ll want to take on the beauty of the Blue Ridge from the air on our Canopy Tour. Explore the forest ecosystem from our sky bridges, tree platforms and zip lines. Our guides will assure your safety, inform you about the nature and history of the site, and coach you on how to have the most fun possible!
Make a vacation of your visit to the Chattooga Adventure Center by staying in one of our lodging options. Whether you want a modern and luxurious vacation cabin, a cozy and charming cottage, or yurts big enough for your entire group, Wildwater has a lodging option for you. Be sure to take advantage of our package discounts when you combine two or more activities!
