Zipline Canopy Tour Jobs

Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours Inc. Employment

Employment Information

Wildwater’s zipline canopy tours are all run by our sister canopy tours company: Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours (NGCT) and The Adventure Center of Asheville (ACA). NGCT and ACA are outdoor adventure businesses committed to designing, operating, and managing the highest quality zipline canopy tours in the Southeastern United States. Locations include Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours (Bryson City, NC), Chattooga Ridge Canopy Tours (Long Creek, SC), Ocoee River Basin Canopy Tours (Ducktown, TN), and The Adventure Center of Asheville (Asheville, NC). We are Guest-focused and employee-driven. We seek highly motivated and professional representatives that are interested in exposing visitors to the outdoors we all love. A high level of service, reasonable levels of adventure, while responsibly and respectfully managing risk are required. If you want to work on the rivers or for Wildwater’s administrative or management teams, please see Wildwater River Operations and Raft Guide Employment Information.

Employment Agreement

Our season, depending on location, traditionally begins March and operates until late November. The Adventure Center of Asheville is open year round.

Most positions available are entry-level; however, from time to time management positions come available.

Because of the nature of seasonal employment, it is difficult to guarantee full-time work to anyone, particularly in the Spring and Fall. We do, however make commitments for employment periods. These agreements outline a period of full-time work we will offer and a commitment from the employee on their dates of availability. July and August are our peak season. You may be asked to work six days a week, extra days off are not possible peak season. We work so that our Guests can play!

We invite you to consider the challenge of working as part of a team in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions. We offer many opportunities to learn new skills and work in a variety of settings. Our positions require professionalism and commitment, but offer fun and recreation, working with people with similar interests, lifetime friendships, personal achievements and a valuable work experience.

Drug/Alcohol Free Workplace

We are committed to a safe environment for its Team Members and Guests. Post-accident drug/alcohol testing is required of all employees filing a workman’s compensation claim. Any employee allowing drugs or alcohol to effect their work will be terminated.

Personal Appearance

A professional and well-groomed appearance is an essential ingredient in NGCT’s success. NGCT requires Team identifying clothing when running a trip on the canopy course. We rely on your good judgement and commitment to NGCT to provide a high level of personal appearance and hygiene. Your conduct on the job, after hours, and in the community is a reflection of you and of NGCT. Please plan to respect yourself, your peers and NGCT.
