What’s New at the Nantahala?!
It has been a busy winter for Wildwater in the Nantahala Gorge! From property renovations to new activity and lodging options, we believe that the best is yet to come this 2015 season. Here’s a list of what is “New” for Wildwater Nantahala:
Building facelift at the Nantahala Rafting Center not only includes a new roof but also new and improved bathrooms, AND a covered deck for shade on sunny days and shelter on rainy days! When you’re visiting the Nantahala Rafting Center, spend some time gazing at the beautiful Mountain View off of our front porch.
We have added a “Group Camp” option to our lodging property at Falling Waters! Bring your group to the Falling Waters property across the street from the Nantahala Rafting Center and have a private campsite that includes tent platforms, kitchen w/sink, stove & frig, outdoor dining area, fire pit, hot showers, and bathrooms. You bring the tents, sleeping bags, towels and cooking/eating supplies. The Group Camp will handle group sizes of 30+ and will be available starting in May. Book your group now!
The NEW KidZip at Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours will offer ziplines and adventure park elements for kids 4-12 years old with a continuous cable, no clipping/unclipping!! Look for 9 zips and 4 climbing elements including a sloped climbing wall, cable and post climb, and a floating staircase. Wildwater is one of the first companies in America to build a zipline course specifically for kids! Plan your visit for our opening event over Memorial Day Weekend!
An additional Jeep® has been added to our Wildwater Jeep® Tour fleet! Come take a ride up into the beautiful Nantahala Community region with one of our tour guides. Waterfalls, history, and scenic vistas await on this journey.
