Since June 1971, and Wildwater’s very first commercial trips on the Chattooga River, Wildwater has put Guest experience as our number one priority. As the first whitewater company to operate in the Southeast and Blue Ridge region, founder Jim Greiner not only pioneered river guiding operations, he set the standard for Guest services. And that meant that the word Guest would always be capitalized, thereby ensuring the importance of customers and their needs.
Over five decades (and three generations) later, Wildwater’s legacy continues to set the standard for raft companies across the nation in regards to southern hospitality and Guest service. From the booking to the boat, here are some ways you’ll notice that Guest services are just a little extra polished at Wildwater:

Rafting for 4th of July weekend
“We went rafting with Nick and had the best time! The entire staff did a great job. It was my first time whitewater rafting so I was nervous, but Nick was an expert and I felt safe the whole time, even when it came to the class 5’s along the route. My in-laws have done a lot of rafting in the past and they all agreed this was by far their favorite. Definitely recommend and we can’t wait to go back.”

“They really guide us, all the tour guides are amazing and the hospitality is okay or should i say beyond OKAY! like amazing. (shout out to our guide ALEX STONE!) you’re the best! You really educate us!”

Fun times on the Chattooga
“Our family spent two days on the river. The surroundings were beautiful, the water warm, and the Class IV and V rapids were manageable under the superb guiding provided by Jake H., our trip leader. He was extremely knowledgeable about the river and its surroundings, articulate, and funny. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide—we had a blast!!!”

Most epic rafting trip of all time!!!
“Super cool staying in a Yurt, nice facilities, then you are right there in the AM for rafting trip, so convenient. And super nice fire under the stars the night before. You definitely want to stay here if you raft since a little remote. Would definitely stay again! Plus, best rafting trip of my life. My sister who has been rafting everywhere said this was the most active river she’s been on, rapid after rapid and nice fun in between. Do it!!”
