What to Wear Guide for Cold or Rainy Weather Rafting

- Wool or synthetic garments are best. Cotton is not recommended—it will leave you wet, cold, and clammy
- A good wool or synthetic cap can help significantly—40% of heat loss is through the head.
- Wool socks are also recommended if you don’t have neoprene booties. Shoes that will stay on your feet are a must.
- Be certain to bring a complete change of clothes and shoes plus a towel. (Wildwater provides HOT showers at each location).
- Should you forget them, Wildwater’s stores has Chums, sunscreen, waterproof cameras, towels, and other necessary.
- Wildwater trips that are “on-water” for more than 1hr. 30 min. also have access to rent wetsuits.
- All Wildwater trips include: PFD, paddle, transportation, use of facilities, boat, nylon splash jack, helmet.
What to Wear Guide for Warm Weather Rafting

- Bathing suits or shorts, T-shirt
- Shoes that will stay on your feet (no flip-flops).
- Cotton is not recommended, it will leave you wet, cold, and clammy.
- Remember Sunscreen—the water reflects and enhances the chance of sunburn.
- Be certain to bring a complete change of clothes and shoes plus a towel. (Wildwater provides HOT showers at each location).
- Should you forget them, Wildwater’s stores has Chums, sunscreen, waterproof cameras, towels, and other necessary.
- All Wildwater trips include: PFD (personal flotation device, paddle, transportation, use of facilities, boat, nylon splash jack, helmet.
Wildwater PFD Sizes:
- Youth Jackets: fits chest size of 24”-29”, recommended 50-90 lbs.
- Adult Standard: fits chest size of 30”-52”, recommended 90 lbs and greater.
- Adult XXL: fits chest size of 52”-62”.
