Have you ever wondered what our Team does in the winter? Many of them are college students attending schools including College of Charleston, Clemson, University of TN, Warren Wilson, UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State, Appalachian State, Hampshire, Harvard, Anderson, GA Tech, Virgina Tech, San Diego State and others across the country.
There are other Team Members who spend the winter traveling: Wildwater had 2 groups that spent 3 weeks rafting the Grand Canyon, and others traveling cross country with stops in New Orleans, Texas, New Mexico, Telluride, Steamboat Springs, New York and Boston. Others do not get enough whitewater in the Wildwater season, so they go off and work at other companies in warmer climates. Wildwater has guides who are spending this winter guiding in Uganda, Costa Rica and Ecuador.
The nice thing about being a Wildwater Team member is that we are a pretty tight knit group and you can find us all over the country from NY to Flagstaff to Lake Tahoe to Alaska to Montana to Telluride and Steamboat Springs! We also have former team members living in Turkey, Sweden, New Zealand, Costa Rica and Australia!
