Happy Mother’s Day! For the special day, we thought we’d highlight a wonderful raft guide from Wildwater Chattooga-land. Her husband, Steve, was kind enough to send us a bio.
Larissa is a great wife, mom and raft guide. She started working on the Chattooga River around 2001 and worked full time as a guide and waitress until 2007 when her 1st daughter was born. Since then, she has shifted her priorities to being a full-time mom and part-time guide. When the kids were very young, she would load them up in a back pack and hike in to Bull Sluice or 7-Foot and take pictures for the local rafting companies. Now a days, Larissa guides when the opportunity presents itself, and is busy home-schooling two growing kids, while running a busy household.
