Coker Creek Village

Becky WiseOcoee River

Near the Ocoee River, Coker Creek is located in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee in the middle of the Cherokee National Park.  This pristine mountain town is tucked between the Tellico Mountain to the North, the Farner Mountain to the South, the Unicoi Mountain to the East and the Cataska Mountain to the West.

Coker Creek Village was started by Sanford and Esther Gray in 1963.  Ever since then the pair had made it their goal to make Coker Creek Village a Christian place where people can come and enjoy the mountains and all the area has to offer.  The camp at first only had 6 campers a summer to now over 500 people a day.  Coker Creek is excellent for Church groups, Boy and Girl Scout Trips, School groups, to anything in between and with bunk houses they can take groups from 10 to 300 people.  On 300 plus acres Coker Creek Village; formally known as Tellico Mountain Camp, offers a variety of different activities and excursions, Horseback Riding, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Panning for Gold and even Rafting!  Wildwater has a great relationship with Coker Creek Village for over 20 years and loves to take their Guests down the Ocoee River.  With Wildwater’s Ocoee River Rafting and Wildwater’s Ocoee River Basin Canopy Tours only a 35 minute drive from Coker Creek, an adventure with Coker Creek and Wildwater couldn’t be simpler.
