If you are interested in the ultimate Wildwater Adventure, then our Under the Stars Overnighter trip is for you! Our Guides will tell you that the Chattooga Overnighter is the best river trip in the Southeast, and one that our Guests should not miss. Two full days of rafting (Section III and Section IV), one night camping, two river lunches, dinner and a hot breakfast – the ultimate Chattooga experience. Just bring a sleeping bag, pillow, personal items and a sense of adventure, we provide all the rest!
The first day, on Section III, will be slower paced and afford plenty of opportunities for relaxing and swimming. A make your own sandwich buffet will be served riverside. At the end of Section III, your personal gear will be waiting at your campsite. After changing into dry clothes and munching on chips and fresh made guacamole, Guests are encouraged to swim, hike or fish (SC or GA fishing license required). A full steak dinner with all the trimmings will be prepared at camp.
After a bacon and eggs for breakfast the next morning, camp is struck and your personal gear packed for transportation back to Wildwater. After meeting up with the rest of the Section IV trip, be prepared to experience the steepest section of river currently being run on a regular commercial basis in the Southeast! This trip is more challenging than the first day, but there are still opportunities to relax and stretch your legs. A rest stop at Long Creek Falls, a 60 ft. high waterfall, lunch, swimming at Possum Creek are all included; a leisurely boat tow across Lake Tugaloo to the take-out ends your 2-day journey.
Wildwater strives to make sure each of our guests has the absolute best experience possible. The only fingers you will have to lift are the ones being used to paddle.
