It is a great way for the whole family to enjoy the beauty of the area. Your trip will begin in the morning in Bryson City, NC at the train depot. A two-hour rail excursion ensues, complete with a trip over the famous Fontana Lake Railroad Trestle and continues up the Nantahala gorge where you’ll watch rafters and boaters play on the river. Bryson City NC Train Adventures For the Whole Family
You have three adventure package options for your afternoon: add a rafting trip down the Nantahala River, add a full length zipline canopy tour, or add a backroads Jeep™ tour exploring the Nantahala Gorge area. Option 4 is to remain on the train, enjoy a layover by the river for an hour and then return on the train that afternoon back to Bryson City.
All our railroad packages meet at the train depot in Bryson City and include transportation from the train to your activity and transport back to the depot after your trip. Also includes use of our changing rooms with hot showers and lunch.
