A Letter to Our Guests In Response to COVID

In response to Covid-19

WE ARE EXCITED TO CELEBRATE OUR 5oth YEAR WITH YOU. GETTING OUTSIDE AND ENJOYING HEALTHY, FUN ACTIVITIES WITH THE FAMILY IS WHAT WILDWATER IS ALL ABOUT.

The support and interest from our many guests in getting back outdoors has been wonderful. We can’t wait to serve you, too!

As we all navigate the new reality of the Coronavirus, accepted practices, policies and procedures will constantly evolve. We at Wildwater are working diligently and carefully, respecting each other and ask you to do the same. Please follow our lead and ask questions if you have them. If we all work together to reduce transmission we will reduce the risks to ourselves and to others.

Ask about our private Raft and Canopy Tour options this summer (extra charges may apply).

WILDWATER PROCEDURES

As a part of the greater Wildwater family, we have put policies and procedures in place to help protect you, as well as our Wildwater Team. Our goal is, and always will be, to have fun and offer the best outdoor experiences. The Coronavirus after all is killed in direct sunlight!

Social distancing, increased cleaning, and generally reducing opportunities for transmission is the new normal.

First and foremost, please do not come if you are sick or know you have been exposed to the Coronavirus. Any Guest or Team Member that show signs of the Coronavirus will be excluded from activities and asked to quarantine themselves.

PERSONAL DISTANCING:

Per CDC recommendations, we ask that everyone practice social distancing, but please understand that the nature of our activities does not allow that 100% of the time. You will be in the great, beautiful out of doors, with fresh air and bright sunshine (most of the time!). We will look for ways to help reduce exposure and promise to do our best to provide the safest environment for our entire Wildwater family. Check-in, store and transportation for rafting will be high contact and interaction points, please help us by staying appropriately apart from others not in your group.

FACE COVERINGS:

Our Team will be helping to protect you, our family of Guests, by wearing face coverings when appropriate during your visit. To help in protecting our Team and other Guests visiting at the same time, we request that EVERYONE participating in any activity or trip with Wildwater have a face covering and use it when in close proximity to others. These coverings may include a cotton face mask, a disposable face mask, or a bandana. There are times during your activity or trip where it might be ok to take those off, but because of the closeness of individuals on canopy tours, face coverings should be worn for the entire tour. We want to keep everyone safe while allowing you, your family and friends to enjoy nature and have some much needed fun.

Personal Sanitation (handwashing & sanitizer): Everyone should wash their hands regularly and thoroughly before, during and after activities. While we will endeavor to provide soap and hand sanitizer whenever needed, please bring your own to guarantee availability.

Online Waivers: Wildwater is implementing an online waiver system. Look for a link to our online waivers after you have booked your reservation. Please have one waiver per person per activity completed before arrival.

Check In: Group leader only should come to the check-in desk and we will guide your group through check-in.

Facilities: Wildwater has great outdoor facilities to social distance and spread out. We may limit the number of people allowed inside the store, bathrooms and lobby as appropriate.

Equipment Care: Please limit contact with equipment you are not personally using. Our Team has put extra cleaning procedures in place and will instruct you on proper adjustments for sizing from a distance.

Bus/Transportation: We will keep all the windows open, everyone will wear face covers, load the bus from the back to front skipping seats when possible, and unload the bus from front to back. Wildwater Team will clean and disinfect transportation regularly.

Food: Wildwater Team will be the only people touching your food and serving utensils. Our famous Make Your Own Sandwich River Lunch on the Chattooga will happen before your trip with Wildwater Guides making your sandwich for you. At all locations individually wrapped or served meals will become the norm.

Zipline Tours: While ziplining requires close proximity of others by nature, new procedures limit interaction with non-family or group members. Please inquire about private tours if you would like to guarantee a trip with only your group and our zipline rangers.

HOW A TRIP WITH WILDWATER MIGHT HELP TO BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

  1. Get outside and enjoy an activity or trip so the sun can provide that much needed Vitamin D.
  2. Wildwater’s activities and trips provide lots of FUN exercise!
  3. Take deep breaths before entering that next big rapid or as you are launching off the pad to zip to the next tree.
  4. Avoid Processed Food – On the Chattooga, where we provide lunch, we cut our meats and cheeses each morning, have lots of fresh produce and provide healthy snacks.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING BACK TO SHARING TIME WITH YOU AND HAVING ADVENTURES TOGETHER. LET’S BUILD MEMORIES FOR A LIFETIME!
