The Wildwater Yurt Village is located on 22 mountain acres with a waterfall, trails and scenic vistas in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. A multitude of activities including rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, jetboat rides and gem mining are available in the area. Or, if you enjoy relaxing, enjoy the waterfall deck, outdoor seating, picnic tables and just the right setting to simply enjoy the outdoors. Sorry, but smoking and pets are NOT allowed – there is a $100 pet/smoking fee for non compliance.
The Yurt Village opened in early summer ’98. Travelers to the Pacific Northwest may be familiar with these lavish dome structures that offer a “Ritz Carlton” style wilderness experience. The exposed framing and heavy-duty canvas shell provide a soft blend with the natural surroundings. The comforts inside include a canopied or 4-poster bed and a sitting area with a futon sofa bed, CD/AM/FM player, small refrigerator and coffee maker. Shared but private showers and restrooms are available in a separate building adjacent to your Yurt.
