Lake Tugaloo Kayak Touring Adventure

For a more relaxing trip, try a leisurely touring kayak trip on scenic Lake Tugaloo.  Join our professional guide and naturalist to experience this beautiful mountain lake formed by the National Wild & Scenic Chattooga River and the Tallulah River Gorge.  On the state line you will be surrounded by Sumter and Chattahoochee National Forests.  Four miles of lake paddling in either tandem or solo kayaks with stops for swimming, snack, relaxation and fun.  Trip last about 4 hours.

NEW for 2013!  For a more relaxing trip, try a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) trip on scenic Lake Tugaloo.  Join our professional guide to experience this beautiful lake formed by the National Wild & Scenic Chattooga River and the Tallulah River Gorge.  Surrounded by Sumter National Forest in SC and Chattahoochee National Forest in GA, this is truly a spectacular way to enjoy the serenity of nature and water.

Whitewater kayak clinics offer individuals the opportunity to learn a new skill with our experienced instructors.  Join our instructors for individualized attention designed to get you out on the water safely.  Whether you are an absolute beginner or just looking to refine your skills, we can get you headed in the right direction.  We offer one- to three-day clinics on the Chattooga River.

Spend a beautiful day in the Nantahala Gorge with Wildwater and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad.  You’ll begin your trip in Bryson City, NC at the train depot, with a 2 hour railroad excursion over Fontana Lake and into the Nantahala Gorge.   At the top-of-the-line, you will disembark the train and travel a short distance to the launch site.  After a paddling orientation your group will raft the entire 8 miles of the Nantahala River on our Fully Guided raft trip.  A picnic lunch is included, as well as changing facilities with hot showers and transportation back to your car at the train depot.

Join our skilled and knowledgeable local guides by following in the steps of the early explorers, visiting the back roads of the region and learning more about this beautiful region directly from North Carolina locals.  Enjoy our 2-hour Waterfalls Tour, or for a full-day adventure, go on the Rails & Trails trip that includes the Jeep® Tour, lunch and a 2 hour railroad excursion over Fontana Lake and into the Nantahala Gorge.

Pigeon Jeep® Tours

Enjoy this scenic ride on the backroads of the Smokies where the moonshiners once traveled.  This area tour surrounds you with views into and above the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Martha Sundquist State Forest and Cherokee National Forest.  The tour is a mix of paved and unpaved roads with creek crossings, scenic vistas and lush forests.  Tour lasts about one and a half hours.
