Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge’s Best Whitewater Rafting & Ziplining Trips
Ready for the most fun ever on your trip to the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge region of the Tennessee Smoky Mountains?
Tennessee and the Smokies are waiting for you! Enjoy a Pigeon River raft trip on the Upper Pigeon or Lower Pigeon River, along with the only full length zipline canopy tour course with dual zips and river crossings! Rafting and zipping in the Smokies has never been more fun!
Rafting on the Big Pigeon River is done on two sections. The Upper Pigeon is more exciting and the Lower Pigeon is a little more tame. Our Pigeon River Canopy Tours opened in May 2010, and is the only zipline/canopy tour that crosses over the Pigeon River, has a platform on the side of a cliff with waterfall views and has a rappel through our ‘rabbit hole’. Enjoy a soaring and gliding experience naturally fueled by elevation change in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. This adventure is available in a short and longer version to fly you beside, above and 1200′ across the Pigeon River and back to your starting point at heights up to 120 feet above the river.
Rafting & Zipping in the Smokies only 45 Minutes Outside of Gatlinburg
We are located in Tennessee, close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Asheville and Knoxville, in the Smoky Mountains. All rafting happens on the Pigeon River outside of Gatlinburg. Gatlinburg can be super crowded in summer, so drive times can be heavily dependent on traffic. Plan accordingly! Tours run rain or shine. Combine a Raft Trip with a Canopy Tour and/or Jeep® tour for a full day of activities. Add lunch at the Pigeon River Dog House!
You will find the best facilities at our Pigeon River Adventure Center & can enjoy all your outdoor activities in one location! Whether you already have a reservation or need to sign up for one of our activities, a friendly Wildwater team member will be at your service! Clean restrooms and changing rooms are available for getting ready for your adventure or preparing to head home after a great day with us. The Pigeon River’s close proximity to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Maggie Valley and Asheville provides an accessible exciting trip for the entire family.
