Lake Kayaking On Scenic Lake Tugaloo – Fun For All Ages
For a relaxing and scenic paddling experience in beautiful Upstate SC, try leisurely kayak touring on beautiful Lake Tugaloo. Join a professional guide to experience this gem of a lake formed by the National Wild & Scenic Chattooga River and the Tallulah River Gorge. Surrounded by Sumter National Forest in SC and Chattahoochee National Forest in GA, this is truly a spectacular way to enjoy the serenity of nature and water.
Your experience includes instruction, informative interpretation of the cultural and natural history in the area, scenic waterfalls, swimming and four miles of lake, mountain & Chattooga River scenery. Wildwater provides a professional guide, all necessary equipment, tandem (two-person) or solo (one-person) kayaks and a snack. Great for individuals, small groups and families with younger children. All Lake Tugaloo Kayaking launches at the Lake Tugaloo boat ramp and do not require the 1/4 mile hike associated with Chattooga rafting trips.
Facilities: Changing rooms and shower, river store, picnic area, horseshoes, volleyball, free Wi-Fi, deluxe cabin, group yurts and rental cottages. Canopy tours and rafting trips available as well.
Minimum Age: 5 years (under 12 must be with adult)
Intensity Level: Mild to moderate. No previous experience needed. Fully guided trip
