CHATTOOGA MUD RUN!

The Chattooga River Festival is hosting the 1st annual Paddle Faster Mud Run.  The Chattooga River Festival is a charitable organization dedicated to the environmental stewardship and increasing the awareness for preserving the unique ecological environment of the Chattooga River.

The run is being held at the Chattooga Belle Farm in Long Creek, SC on May 10th.  The run starts at 8am. Check in and registration from 7:15 to 7:45 am.  Registration is $40,  however if you register before May 1st it’s only $30 including the Paddle Faster Mud Run T-shirt and entrance to the celebration after at Chattooga Sounds Camp.

There will be 10 obstacles over the span of just less than 5K, each named after a Class IV-V rapid on the Wild and Scenic Chattooga River.
1 – Bull Sluice, Hay Bail climb
2 – Woodall Shoals, Hay Bail Jump over
3 – 7 Foot Falls, Water Slide (approx. 50 ft)
4 – Ravens Chute, Tire Wall Climb
5 – Entrance, Swamp Crawl
6 – Cork Screw, Rope Climb
7 – Crack in the Rock, Chip Hill Slip
8 – Jawbone, Marsh Madness
9 – Socemdog, Swim Dash
10-Lake Paddle, Long Run to Finish Line
