Buy Things or Do Things??

Becky WiseUncategorized, Wildwater

In this very materialistic/digital world, we, as a family, decided that we would rather spend our money doing things instead of buying things.  I am reminded of this every day when I see that my grown children now love to travel and experience the world.

Last week there were many stories about the new Google Glasses that were on sale for $1,500.  Most of us would not splurge on Google Glasses, but there are probably other items that we would purchase for that same cost.  Think about what you can do with your family for less than $1,500.

There will be time to enjoy things that cost nothing – fishing, hiking, roasting marshmallows in a fire & biking are all fun activities that kids love.  The decision is yours, but time on earth is limited and wouldn’t you rather have the joys of spending time with your family?
